EnglishTAFE Western Australia will accept an IELTS score of 5.5 (academic - overall band with no individual band lower than 5) or TOEFL score of 530 or Cambridge FCE. Students can sit the TAFE Western Australian English Proficiency Test (at no cost) which will indicate how much English they will need to study before entering a TAFE main course.

- English Language courses - there are 5 main intakes per year - January, February, April, July & October. Flexible entry is also available.
